How to prepare your first contact with a professional

Organize your goal, context and questions to start a useful conversation with the specialist you need.

Start with the result you want to achieve. Rather than sending a whole folder of files, briefly describe your situation and the support you are looking for. This helps the professional understand whether they can help and what questions to ask next.

Separate context from urgency. Explain the relevant country or location, your current stage and any important date. Distinguish a confirmed deadline from a personal expectation. Do not include document numbers, passwords or intimate information in your first request.

Ask about the scope of the service. Which activities are included? Is support remote or in person? What information is needed to assess your request? How will fees, deliverables and next steps be agreed? An initial conversation does not replace a proposal or an engagement.

If several professionals are involved, explain who is already participating. A translator may depend on a final version prepared by another professional. Making these dependencies clear helps the team organize the sequence of work.

On FlexiWork360, you can explore published profiles and request contact by specialty. Save the private link provided after submitting your request: it lets you read replies and continue the conversation. Sharing documents and accessing a case are separate steps controlled by its participants.
